What Should I expect during my first Kinesiology appointment?

Whether you are coming to see us in person or online, we want to make sure you are comfortable and confident in your appointment. Your initial Kinesiology assessment will be approximately 60 minutes depending on the reason you are seeing us and will include:

  • A detailed Health History
  • Postural Assessment
  • Functional Movement and Patterns Assessment
  • Strength, flexibility, and overall health evaluation

During your initial Assessment, our Kinesiologist will discuss and review her findings to start to build an individualized treatment plan for your health and rehabilitation goals moving forward!

Working one-on-one with a Human Movement Specialist can help optimize recovery, improve performance in sport and daily activities, and help you better manage acute and chronic physical conditions. We will focus on helping you get KINNECTED mind, body and soul.

What is a Kinesiologist?

Kinesiology is the study of human movement. A Kinesiologist is specially trained to help people move well. They assess the way the human body moves, looking at imbalances, strengths and weaknesses, movement patterns, posture, and functional capabilities. They provide programming to help imbalances, injuries, chronic conditions, and improve health, functionality, and well-being.

Do you do direct billing?

Yes! We are able to treat and direct bill for ICBC and WorksafeBC accident and MVA claims

Are your services covered by my extended medical plan?

Maybe! Kinesiology is now covered by MSP services in Ontario and some insurance companies will cover Kinesiology as well.
